Got my dent-free door put on. The rustoleum silver is duller than the factory color but actually really close. I have a plan on how to fix all of that, though. The important thing is my car looks much less wrecked now, especially after I poorly used a long flathead screwdriver to PDR the quarter panel dent. Also an orange wheel happened. Note: blaze orange rattlecan plastidip has GARBAGE coverage. I’ll probably strip it off and use Rustoleum + a couple coats of clear. I really like the orange/silver, though.
In case you were wondering, I’m mimicing this GT3RS which I always found particularly immature/fetching, and I plan to take it up to 11. The immature part. Because JDM, yo.

lol. Yeah the body’s ok from a distance. The paint is pretty screwed up on the quarter but I might try blending it in with some Duplicolor cans like I did on the Mustang.

so long as youre not worried about resale, just keep bombing the subpar(the ones youre not AS happy with) panels until they look good/better. remember to block sand after every 4 or 5 coats for even-ness .
its getting better.
all the work that is involved to fix messes like this, helps us to appreciate straight clean panels. keeps us from carelessly playing on the streets.

Resale? This car’s been wrecked at least three times, only once by me. If you get under it NOTHING is straight. The lights don’t even go up by themselves anymore because the front end is all whopperjawed, which is also why the bumper fitment is so atrocious.
This thing is a rolling parts car I’m band-aiding together.

Shoulda seen the door on my Miata, couldn’t even get the window to open all the way thanks to that dent. Nice new donor door (and fender and bumper) with my ghetto paint job. Its a work in progress but its getting there as well. I am going to need more coats and better clear coat though since my first attempt didn’t come out all that great on the fender. Havent attempted the door yet!
